Africa Energy Information Centre (AEIC): Advancing Knowledge for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Africa
The Africa Energy Information Centre (AEIC) is pleased to announce a call for research proposals aimed at advancing knowledge and promoting sustainable energy solutions in Africa. AEIC is committed to supporting research that addresses key challenges and opportunities in the energy sector, with a focus on promoting energy access, efficiency, and sustainability across the continent.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Researchers, academics, and professionals from Africa and around the world are eligible to apply.
– Proposals must be original research that has not been previously published.
Proposal Submission Guidelines:
– Proposals should be submitted in English and should not exceed 5 pages, excluding references.
– Proposals must include a clear research objective, methodology, expected outcomes, and relevance to the energy sector in Africa.
– Proposals should also include a detailed budget and timeline for the research project.

Selection Process:
– Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of experts based on their relevance, scientific quality, and potential impact.
– Successful applicants will be notified by 30/12/2024
Funding and Support:
– Selected research projects will receive funding and technical support from AEIC.
– Researchers may also can present their findings at AEIC events and publications.

Assessing the untapped hydropower potential in African rivers and water bodies.

Research on the geothermal energy potential in East African Rift regions and other geothermal hotspots.
Energy Storage Solutions
Developments in energy storage technologies and their application in Africa.
